About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in construction and project management within the utility sector. You will participate in two to three rotations across different departments to gain exposure to Transmission Work Management, Construction Management, and Project Management. This is a full-time, 12-week program running from May 2027 to August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning and execution of construction activities for Transmission assets.
- Track construction production and status in the field to ensure schedule adherence.
- Act as a liaison between contractors and internal teams, including engineers and project managers.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and management of projects through resource allocation, cost control, and scheduling.
- Participate in the design and analysis of structures, systems, and facilities.
- Develop skills in managing project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Construction Management.
- An expected graduation date no earlier than August 2027.
- A cumulative college GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An interest in working in engineering, construction, or project management environments.
- A willingness to learn and adapt.
Location & details#
- Location: Cincinnati, Ohio.
- This is an on-site, full-time position.
- The role requires travel to project sites (5-15%).
- Work is performed in various field locations and may require the use of personal protective equipment.
- You must be able to work lawfully in the U.S. without sponsorship.
