About the role#
Duininck Golf offers a summer internship for students interested in golf course construction. You will report to the on-site Project Superintendent. This role provides hands-on experience in construction management and field operations. You will work on renovations, restorations, and new course development projects.
What you'll do#
- Shadow Project Superintendents, Estimators, Project Managers, and the General Manager.
- Work with laborers on all aspects of golf course construction.
- Manage small crews and assist with project scheduling and critical path timelines.
- Attend construction meetings with owners, architects, and engineers.
- Handle as-built plans, reading plans, and surveying.
- Document daily activities and perform safety checks.
- Assist with estimating and quantity takeoffs.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
- Physical ability to walk, bend, kneel, stretch, and sit.
- Willingness to work extended hours outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel and work on Saturdays.
- Commitment to following all safety regulations and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment.
