About the role#
Dominion Energy is seeking a student for the Summer 2027 intern session to join the Reactor Engineering group at the Millstone Power Station in Waterford, Connecticut. You will work on projects tailored to your completed coursework and receive mentorship from experienced engineers.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze reactor flux data for power distribution surveillances.
- Perform ranking cycle thermal performance analysis.
- Trend reactor performance data.
- Conduct periodic walkdowns of primary systems.
- Develop technical products for the Reactor Engineering team.
- Perform hands-on evaluations of plant modifications in the field.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from an ABET accredited program. Students majoring in Mechanical Engineering are also eligible.
- An anticipated graduation date between Fall 2028 and Fall 2029.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Working knowledge of engineering theories, principles, and practices.
- Ability to interpret codes and regulations.
- Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills.
- Effective written and oral communication skills, including technical writing.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A reliable source of transportation.
