This Culinary Internship at Silo Ridge Field Club offers hands-on experience in a high-end food and beverage environment. Interns will support the culinary team in maintaining quality standards, preparing ingredients, and ensuring a safe, clean kitchen workspace. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Ensure all dishes are prepared uniformly and according to specific recipes and standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness throughout the day by performing tasks such as sweeping, cleaning counters, and managing waste.
- Monitor the expiration dates of perishable items and inspect all ingredients before use.
- Perform daily stocking and re-stocking of raw materials and kitchen supplies.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report any safety or maintenance concerns to leadership.
- Work rotating shifts across all kitchen stations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Culinary or Hospitality program.
- At least six months of related experience in the back of the house of a foodservice outlet.
- Current ServSafe certification.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to apply them in a professional kitchen.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to work shifts longer than eight hours and meet physical demands, including standing for extended periods and lifting items over 50 pounds.
