About the role#
As an Industrial Engineering Intern, you will work with the engineering team to define and improve distribution processes and labor standards. You will spend your time at our corporate headquarters in Thief River Falls, gaining hands-on experience with our automated warehouse systems.
What you'll do#
- Observe and time study processes to help define engineered standards.
- Analyze equipment, processes, and human factors using engineering best practices.
- Identify ways to improve processes and reduce waste.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
- Collaborate with team members on various projects and initiatives.
- Maintain organized records of your work and project files.
- Develop your skills in project management, data analysis, and professional communication.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You possess at least average computer ability, including experience with Microsoft Office.
- You are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- You bring a positive, collaborative approach to your work.
- Experience with time studies and ergonomics is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.
- Local housing is provided for interns.
- Undergraduate pay ranges from $21.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on your year of study.
- Graduate pay is $26.00 per hour for Master's students and $29.00 per hour for PhD students.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
