About the role#
As a Talent Acquisition Intern, you will gain hands-on experience across the recruiting and early talent strategy functions at DigiKey. You will support entry-level hiring, research new ways to attract candidates, and build resources that improve the experience for applicants and hiring managers. You will also complete a capstone project designed to create a sustainable resource for the team. By the end of this role, you will have practical experience in program management, data analysis, and project ownership.
What you'll do#
- Support recruiting for entry-level roles, including posting jobs, screening, and recruitment marketing.
- Research emerging strategies for employment branding and talent pipeline development.
- Gather and analyze feedback to improve the internship program.
- Identify new partnerships, sourcing channels, and community organizations to strengthen talent pipelines.
- Analyze data regarding applicant flow and recruiting outcomes to inform team recommendations.
- Contribute to tools and resources used by hiring managers and candidates.
- Gain exposure to industry tools such as Workday, Handshake, and LinkedIn.
- Lead a capstone project focused on improving hiring manager support, candidate experience, or onboarding.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Organizational Development, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A genuine interest in recruitment, talent management, or early career programming.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities.
- A positive, customer-first approach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and SharePoint.

- This position is located in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.
- This is an on-site role requiring regular attendance.
- Local housing is provided for interns.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration sponsorship.
