About the role#
Dewberry is hiring a Site/Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work in our Fairfax, Virginia office on site development projects for commercial and government clients. This is a full-time, paid internship. You will gain hands-on experience, participate in professional development workshops, and contribute to a summer-long group project.
What you'll do#
- Design site and civil elements, including grading, roadways, and storm water management systems.
- Create erosion and sediment control plans.
- Prepare technical calculations, spreadsheets, and reports.
- Develop design documents for construction plans as part of a project team.
- Conduct code research, write specifications, and assist with permitting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. program for Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.

- Compensation: $18.75 to $29.75 per hour.
