About the role#
Dewberry is hiring Site/Civil Engineering Interns for the Summer 2027 term. You will work in our Virginia Beach office on projects for commercial and government clients. This program provides hands-on project experience, technical skill development, and the chance to apply classroom knowledge to real-world residential, commercial, and industrial site development.
What you'll do#
- Design site and civil elements, including grading, roadways, storm water management systems, and erosion and sediment control.
- Prepare calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
- Work within design teams to create detailed construction documents.
- Conduct code research, write specifications, and assist with permitting.
- Participate in professional development workshops, networking events, and a summer-long group project.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.

- Compensation: $18.75 to $29.75 per hour.
