    About the role#

    The Aeronautical Engineer Intern supports the Aircraft Integration team at DeltaHawk Engines. You will work on the design, development, installation, and testing of aircraft systems. This role involves collaboration with engineers, designers, technicians, and flight test personnel across various platforms.

    What you'll do#

    • Research, design, and document aircraft subsystems like fuel, oil, induction, exhaust, cooling, and engine control systems.
    • Assist with engine installation, nacelle design, and aircraft packaging.
    • Support prototype builds, ground testing, and flight test activities.
    • Prepare for tests, manage instrumentation, collect data, and review results.
    • Work in a hands-on environment, assisting technicians with aircraft installations and assembly implementation.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a Junior in an aerospace, mechanical, or systems engineering program.
    • Completion of your sophomore year.
    • A strong desire to learn and work with a team.
    • Experience with SolidWorks or similar drafting and modeling software.
    • Comfort working with electronics.
    • Previous experience in aerospace, particularly in general aviation.
    • Participation in extracurricular activities like SAE Baja or Formula racing.
    • A sport pilot license or higher is a plus.
