About the role#
Join the Methods Engineering team at De Havilland Field to support the production of DHC aircraft. This position offers hands-on experience in manufacturing support, technical documentation, and digital data preparation. The role is ideal for students seeking exposure to aerospace manufacturing processes.
What you'll do#
- Read and interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings to support manufacturing.
- Create work instructions and annotated workbooks using CAD tools.
- Digitize legacy hand-drawn drawings using scanning equipment and verify against existing tools and parts.
- Use 2D and 3D CAD software, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA, for data preparation.
- Communicate with other departments to clarify technical details and resolve issues.
- Manage multiple tasks with proper prioritization in a production environment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering program.
- Understanding of engineering drawings.
- Experience in CAD software.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, kneeling, and working in various environmental conditions.
- Ability to work shift rotations, including weekends, night shifts, or overtime as required.
- Commitment to maintaining strict adherence to Health and Safety policies and using required personal protective equipment.

- Term: Summer 2026 (preference for an 8-month term beginning September 2026, open to 4-month terms).
