About the role#
We are hiring Mechanical Design Interns to join our teams in Houston, San Antonio, and El Paso. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling start date. You will work on-site and collaborate with mentors to support mechanical engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Research building codes and standards for specific projects.
- Help mentors perform HVAC load calculations using Trane Trace 3D plus or Carrier HAP software.
- Assist with sizing ductwork and piping systems.
- Prepare mechanical construction drawings in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Select and schedule mechanical equipment.
- Review design documents with engineers before they are finalized.
- Coordinate with internal and external team members to move designs forward.
- Visit at least one project site during your internship.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering.
- You are comfortable using Microsoft Office applications.
- You have familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit.
- You work well with others in a team setting.
- You bring a positive attitude and a willingness to ask questions and learn.
- You must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
