About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering care to patients, managing pharmacy workflows, and supporting the team in daily operations. This is a part-time, paid position based in Tennessee.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients and assist with pharmacy professional practice.
- Manage inventory, workflow, and regulatory requirements.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Lead with empathy and collaborate with your team to improve patient outcomes.
- Facilitate a positive team culture.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Current intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for long periods, reach overhead, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Dexterity to perform tasks such as scanning and bagging items.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are preferred.
