About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will bridge the gap between your classroom education and real-world clinical practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role is designed to prepare you for the responsibilities of a Pharmacist while supporting the pharmacy team in delivering accurate and compassionate patient care.
What you'll do#
- Apply didactic learning to daily pharmacy practice.
- Assist with pharmacy workflow procedures at various workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Provide caring service to patients, including fielding medical questions and offering counseling under pharmacist supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and coordinate with prescribers regarding medication changes.
- Support immunizations and patient health services where permissible by law.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as cycle counts and managing medication deliveries.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, laws, and professional standards.
- Provide coaching and training to pharmacy team members.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks, including lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus in a busy environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Mathematical reasoning skills for calculating prescription dosages and supplies.

- Compensation: $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
