About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will bridge the gap between your pharmacy school education and real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining hands-on experience with store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on preparing you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist while supporting our pharmacy team in delivering consistent care to our patients.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy teams in delivering on our brand promise and following standard operating procedures.
- Assist with pharmacy workflow, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off, to ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
- Provide caring service to patients, including offering counseling, fielding medical questions, and gathering medical history under pharmacist supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Complete inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns-to-stock, and processing medication deliveries.
- Support immunization services by preparing and administering vaccines, educating patients, and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Maintain flexibility for scheduling and travel to other store locations within the market as business needs require.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- At least 1 year of related experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Strong attention to detail, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including active listening.
- Ability to remain mobile, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 20 lbs.

- Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
