About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for a future Pharmacist role. You will gain an overview of store, district, and regional operations while assisting the pharmacy team to ensure operations run safely and accurately.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap and key learning experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily operations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workflows.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures and relevant federal, state, and local laws.
- Offer to counsel, field medical questions, and solicit medical history under pharmacist supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and facilitate medication changes where allowed.
- Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns, and stocking.
- Deliver patient health care services, including supporting immunizations and point-of-care testing.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences through empathetic and compassionate service.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- At least 1 year of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Strong mathematical reasoning, problem resolution, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Flexibility to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market.
- Ability to remain mobile for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.

- Compensation: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour.
