About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world pharmacy operations. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy teams to ensure safe, accurate, and prompt prescription fulfillment while developing your professional skills for future pharmacist responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Follow company standard operating procedures at all pharmacy workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily operations, such as filling prescriptions and completing inventory tasks like cycle counts and medication deliveries.
- Provide patient care by answering questions, offering immunizations, and resolving concerns with empathy.
- Educate patients on vaccine importance and monitor for adverse reactions where permissible.
- Obtain Technician Immunizer status to prepare and administer vaccines as allowed by state regulations.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members as your tenure increases.
- Document patient information and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and strong mathematical reasoning skills.
- Capability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive finger movements, and lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly between duties, and confirm prescription accuracy.
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings is preferred.
- Willingness to work at your home store and travel to other locations within the market as needed.

- Schedule: Part-time, rolling term.
- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
