About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide care to patients. You will help manage chronic and specialty conditions, assist with prescription needs, and support the overall pharmacy team. This role focuses on delivering our purpose and modeling our values while ensuring a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment.
What you'll do#
- Support patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory, workflow, and quality assurance processes.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver better health outcomes.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and pride.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, reach overhead, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Physical dexterity for typing, scanning, and handling small items.
- Ability to complete all required training within state-mandated timeframes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and immunization eligibility are preferred.
