About the role#
This internship focuses on thermal and fluid sciences within our motor vehicle manufacturing operations. You will support projects related to engine, power, fuel, air, and battery systems. The role involves using simulation and physical testing to optimize product performance and architecture. You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with stakeholders to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do#
- Analyze products through simulation and physical testing.
- Develop system-level optimized solutions for engine, power, fuel, air, and battery systems.
- Investigate product and technology problems to recommend resolutions.
- Integrate systems to meet performance goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to advance project objectives.
- Participate in problem resolution for complex components and systems.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, filtration, and combustion.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 is preferred.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Commitment to a duration between 4 months and 12 months.
- Current residency within the continental United States.
- Willingness to learn on the job.

- Compensation: Paid internship with a monthly salary range based on degree level ($4,100 to $5,000 for Bachelor's, $6,000 for Master's, and $7,300 for PhD).
