About the role#
This internship focuses on verifying and validating product functionality across various customer requirements and applications. You will work to assess product risk and performance through analyses and functional tests. The goal is to drive quality decisions and resolve product issues before they reach the customer. This role involves executing work processes while developing your technical knowledge and contributing to team goals.
What you'll do#
- Plan, track, and evaluate results from functional tests and analyses.
- Investigate product test system and process problems, recommend actions, and document results.
- Apply and support improvements to test system design, validation processes, and tools like FMEA.
- Deliver test system requirements and instructions to technicians and engineers.
- Support decisions regarding component selection, calibration, and operating processes.
- Coordinate work amongst engineers and technicians.
- Collaborate with lab customers and component suppliers.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in an accredited U.S. college or university pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in an engineering field.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 is preferred.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Commitment to a duration of 4 to 6 months, or up to 12 months.
- Current residency within the continental U.S.
- Willingness to learn from others on the job.
- Technical skills in product verification, validation, and problem solving.
- Proficiency in analytical modeling, test integration, and failure mode avoidance.
- Experience with system requirements engineering and product interface management.
