About the role#
This position focuses on verifying and validating the functionality of products across various customer requirements, applications, and environments. You will plan, track, and evaluate results from functional tests and analyses to assess product performance and risk. This work aims to drive quality decisions and resolve product issues before they reach the customer.
What you'll do#
- Investigate product test system and process problems, identify causal mechanisms, and document results with guidance from experienced team members.
- Apply and improve processes like test system specification, design, and validation.
- Support team members in obtaining input and negotiating with lab customers, technicians, and component suppliers.
- Deliver test system requirements, processes, and instructions to lab technicians, functional test engineers, and equipment suppliers.
- Assist in making decisions regarding component selection, calibration processes, and operating processes that impact test equipment reliability and cost.
- Engage in the improvement of systems and processes while executing established work procedures under supervision.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Biomedical, Environmental, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 is preferred.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Commitment to a duration of 4 to 12 months.
- Current residency within the continental United States.
- Willingness to learn from others on the job.
- Proficiency in product verification, validation, and problem-solving.
- Experience with analytical modeling, test integration, and failure mode avoidance.
- Understanding of system requirements engineering and product interface management.
