About the role#
As a Product Engineering intern, you will contribute to the design and refinement of components and subsystems. You will work under the guidance of experienced team members to resolve technical issues, document results, and support the execution of design processes. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional technical experts to communicate design intent and support decision-making for product initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Investigate field-based or program team issues and recommend appropriate actions.
- Own problem resolution from a design perspective for moderately complex systems.
- Use tools such as iDFMEA, DVA, GD&T, CREO, and ANSYS Workbench.
- Support the execution of Critical Design Decisions, system checklists, and design reviews.
- Assist in concept selection, optimization, and the development of design specifications.
- Engage with the improvement of existing systems and work processes.
- Coordinate work with technicians or temporary staff as needed.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate engineering degree program at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Preferred minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Current residency within the continental U.S.
- A willingness to learn from others on the job.
- Proficiency or interest in product failure mode avoidance, problem solving, and verification management.
- Skills in technical documentation, system capability engineering, and cross-functional design integration.
- Strong focus on decision quality, collaboration, and effective communication.
