About the role#
This Product Engineering internship offers the chance to contribute to Value Package Introduction programs and field-based technical issues. You will work within the Corporate Business unit to support design decisions, optimize concepts, and resolve problems for components and systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional technical experts while developing your own product knowledge and engineering skills.
What you'll do#
- Investigate program and field-based issues to understand causal mechanisms and recommend actions.
- Own problem resolution from a design perspective and document results with team guidance.
- Execute processes like Critical Design Decisions, System Design and Validation, and Design Reviews.
- Use technical tools including iDFMEA, DVA, GD&T, CREO, and ANSYS Workbench.
- Communicate design intent through formal Design Review packages.
- Support design decision making regarding concept selection, optimization, and specifications.
- Coordinate work with technicians or other student employees as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student in an undergraduate or graduate engineering degree program at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Eligible majors include Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Biomedical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 is preferred.
- Ability to commit to a schedule of 40 hours per week.
- Availability for a program duration between 4 and 12 months.
- Willingness to learn from others and develop professional competencies.
- Must currently reside within the continental United States.

- This position is based in Columbus, Indiana, with potential for remote work.
- The internship is a full-time, paid position.
