About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within our integrated supply chain operations. You will work across various functional areas, including manufacturing, logistics, purchasing, quality, and facilities management. This role is based in Columbus, Indiana, and requires a full-time commitment for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Manufacturing: Assist with the design and implementation of production processes, identify product performance problems, and help improve efficiency using continuous improvement tools.
- Planning and Logistics: Maintain daily operations, monitor planning system parameters, analyze Key Performance Indicators, and identify supply chain risks.
- Purchasing: Support purchasing system strategies, train internal customers on sourcing processes, and maintain purchasing catalogs.
- Quality: Conduct quality planning and audits, lead containment activities, and participate in Six Sigma projects to reduce defects.
- Facilities: Monitor building systems like HVAC and electrical, and lead project management for renovation tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5 is preferred.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, Economics, or Statistics.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
- Ability to manage relationships and maintain a customer-focused mindset.
- Must currently reside within the continental United States.
