About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world IT projects and resort operations. You will support our infrastructure and help resolve technical issues across the property. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for staff.
- Install and maintain desktop and laptop systems, including OS and application software.
- Monitor antivirus updates and remove spyware or viruses when necessary.
- Assist with network support, including routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Manage equipment inventory, conduct audits, and maintain accurate technical documentation.
- Record service requests and solutions in our work order system.
- Support various technology projects ranging from WiFi mapping to cable management.
- Provide basic training to users on hardware and software tools.
- Contribute to the development of internal IT policies and standards.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an approved, credited college internship program focused on Information Technology or status as a High School Senior in a similar program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Beginner to intermediate knowledge of network cabling and file/print services.
- Intermediate familiarity with office hardware like copiers, scanners, and faxes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- A self-directed approach with the ability to manage time and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks like walking, reaching, and kneeling.
- Documentation of your college internship requirements prior to approval.

- This role is based on-site in Thompsonville, Michigan.
- The schedule includes regular work during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- You must maintain company confidentiality and adhere to professional conduct standards at all times.
