Clinical Counseling Intern Weekly Stipend (Non-Profit)

About the role#

Crossroads, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Counseling Intern for Winter 2026. This full-time, paid internship provides practical experience in a behavioral health setting under the supervision of an Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners approved Clinical Supervisor. This role is open to students currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree program in Psychology, Public Health, or Human Resources that requires an internship for graduation.

What you'll do#

• Manage clinical intake, orientation, and client file creation and maintenance.
• Conduct individual counseling, psychoeducation, and facilitate group sessions.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, discharge plans, and service delivery notes.
• Provide case management support, including assisting clients with government assistance applications, legal issues, and referrals to independent agencies.
• Engage in weekly supervision and adhere to all internal policies and regulatory requirements.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a relevant Master’s Degree program.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and Narcan training.
• Current and annual negative TB test.
• Ability to pass a background check and an Arizona Department of Health Services Adult Protective Services check.
• Preferred: Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain high ethical standards.

• Schedule: Requires availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Travel: Valid Arizona Driver’s License required for travel between sites as needed.
