About the role#
Crossroads, Inc. is hiring a Clinical Counseling Intern for the Winter 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Phoenix, Arizona. You will work under the direct supervision of an approved Clinical Supervisor to fulfill graduate degree requirements. Candidates must be enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Psychology, Public Health, or Human Resources.
What you'll do#
- Manage clinical duties such as intake, orientation, and client file maintenance.
- Participate in individual counseling, psychoeducation, and other care elements.
- Document assessments, treatment plans, discharge plans, and service delivery notes.
- Facilitate program curriculum, group sessions, and individual sessions.
- Provide case management by assisting clients with government assistance applications, legal issues, and referrals.
- Engage in at least one hour of weekly supervision.
- Observe and enforce internal policies and relevant behavioral health regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Master’s degree program.
- Valid CPR, First Aid, and Narcan training.
- Current and annual negative TB test.
- Ability to pass a background check and an Arizona Department of Health Services Adult Protective Services check.
- Preference is given to candidates with a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain high ethical standards.
