About the role#
The Business Development Intern supports the Global Business Line Management team. You will assist with business analysis, market research, pricing analysis, sales reporting, forecasting, and strategic growth initiatives. This position provides exposure to product management, commercial strategy, and business analytics within a global industrial automation business. You will work with managers and cross-functional teams to collect and communicate information that supports growth, profitability, and customer engagement.
What you'll do#
- Conduct market research for valve switchboxes and positioners.
- Define and automate project and quote win/loss analysis.
- Perform hit rate analysis to support funnel growth.
- Drive pricing efficiency and forecast improvement using data modeling.
- Create standard workflow documents for reporting processes.
- Review market trends and emerging segments to target product development.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Two or more years of experience in business analysis.
- Two or more years of experience with Power BI and Salesforce.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain processes.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work across different cultures.
- Experience in product management for technical products is a plus.
- Familiarity with Oil & Gas, Power, or Chemical industries is preferred.
- Knowledge of 80/20 pricing strategies is an asset.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Saddle Brook, New Jersey.
- This role is paid at $25.00 per hour.
- The position follows a rolling term.
