    About the role#

    Corning Incorporated is hiring a Quality Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. The role focuses on maintaining and improving quality systems within a manufacturing environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Define and implement improvements to quality systems, including training and safety projects.
    • Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and quality metrics across all production areas.
    • Act as a Quality Representative on New Product and New Equipment Teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
    • Analyze data to develop, implement, and measure internal attribute targets.
    • Execute cost reduction and lean projects to support business objectives.
    • Update plant quality systems to accommodate new products and processes.
    • Coordinate with plant engineering to integrate new technologies and improve process capability.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an Engineering or Scientific degree program, such as Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Aerospace, Biomedical, or Environmental Engineering.
    • High commitment and a results-oriented approach to work.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments independently.
    • Creative problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to carry assignments through to completion.

    • Location: Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: Paid position with a biweekly range of $1,635.00 to $3,185.00.
    • Sponsorship: This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
