    About the role#

    As a Controls Intern, you will work directly with engineers and department heads at our Harrodsburg plant. This role focuses on the melting, forming, and glass handling processes used to create glass substrates for displays and consumer electronics. You will be expected to work effectively in a team environment while also contributing as an individual on specific technical tasks.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist engineers with plant projects and process activities.
    • Work with control technologies including robotics, motion control, vision systems, and PAC/PLC development.
    • Develop creative solutions to address technical challenges.
    • Present a final project to plant senior leadership at the end of the summer.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be a rising Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.3.
    • Solid understanding of control system theory, including PID control, alarming, frequency analysis, and control schematics.
    • Experience with a modern programming language such as MATLAB, C, C#, or Python.
    • Familiarity with sensor technologies and their implementation.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical presentations.

    • This internship is based in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
    • This is a full-time, on-site position for Summer 2027.
    • This position is paid.
