    About the role#

    As a Chemical Engineering Intern, you will work directly with engineers to learn optical coating processes. This position provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will support the optical coating team and present formal project reviews to division leadership. You will gain exposure to optical thin-film coating processes, including vacuum systems, coating chambers, and performance metrics like reflectance and transmittance.

    What you'll do#

    • Support projects within the optical coating department.
    • Interact daily with plant operations teams in coating areas and chambers.
    • Assist with coating run reviews, process monitoring, data collection, and documentation.
    • Participate in the planning, execution, and reflection phases of experimental activities.
    • Analyze data and provide support for process improvement efforts.
    • Prepare and deliver updates and formal presentations to engineering and leadership teams.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Chemical Engineering degree, with Junior or Senior status preferred.
    • Basic understanding of manufacturing environments, process flow, or production support systems.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Experience with data analysis, including Microsoft Excel and SPC rules.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

    • Location: Keene, New Hampshire.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Schedule: Full-time.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: Paid position with a biweekly range of $1,635.00 to $3,185.00.
    • Note: This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
