About the role#
The Field Operations Intern supports Superintendents and Project Managers with safety program administration, quantity tracking, schedule analysis, and job site documentation. This full-time, on-site role provides hands-on experience in field coordination and construction quality for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support the administration of the project safety program to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Provide technical assistance by interpreting contract drawings, submittals, and project documentation.
- Assist with preparing daily reports, conducting safety walks, compiling quantity reports, and updating project schedules.
- Participate in the quality assurance program by attending meetings and performing site inspections.
- Monitor onsite material deliveries and inventory to keep project progress moving.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety standards and protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, submittals, and technical documents.
- Basic understanding of construction scheduling, including critical path method concepts.
