About the role#
The Field Operations Co-op supports Superintendents and Project Managers with safety program administration, quantity tracking, schedule analysis, and job site documentation. This full-time, on-site role is designed to provide hands-on experience in field coordination, schedule management, and construction quality.
What you'll do#
- Support the administration of the project safety program to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Assist with daily and weekly activities, including preparing daily reports and conducting safety walks.
- Review and contribute to the short-term planning process to ensure project milestones are met.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities to support adherence to project timelines and safety requirements.
- Utilize construction management software and tools to accurately track and update project information.
- Interpret contract drawings, submittals, and project documentation to provide technical assistance.
- Participate in the quality assurance program, including site inspections and material verification.
- Monitor onsite material deliveries and inventory to facilitate project progress.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety standards, practices, and protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, submittals, and technical documents.
- Basic understanding of construction scheduling, including critical path method (CPM) concepts.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage project documentation.
