About the role#
The Social Media Intern will help create and share content across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X. You will work with the Social Media Manager and editors to turn news segments, talk shows, and digital projects into posts. This role involves planning and making digital assets such as audiograms, short-form videos, and graphics while keeping the Connecticut Public brand voice in mind.
What you'll do#
- Create and optimize digital content for various social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the team to engage and grow the social media community.
- Analyze the social media presence of competitors.
- Write, edit, and post articles for online publication as needed.
- Deliver high-quality content while meeting tight deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or other video and audio editing software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
- Experience creating digital assets for social media.
- Ability to multitask with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Term: Fall 2026 (September 21, 2026, to November 13, 2026).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment Type: Part-time, up to 20 hours per week.
