About the role#
As a Contractor Recruiter Intern, you will grow and maintain the nationwide network of HVAC service contractors for AirConnect. You will reach out to HVAC companies across the country to recruit them for service work. This role focuses on vendor recruiting rather than employee hiring. You will be responsible for the full vendor onboarding process, which includes collecting compliance documents, setting up payment information, and entering contractor data into Salesforce so they are ready for work orders.
What you'll do#
- Identify and research HVAC service companies nationwide, focusing on areas with high service needs.
- Call and email contractors to introduce AirConnect and explain our dispatch, documentation, and invoicing processes.
- Collect and verify essential documents such as W-9 forms, Certificates of Insurance, and HVAC licenses.
- Enter new contractor details into Salesforce, including service areas, labor rates, and billing contacts.
- Coordinate with the accounting team to set up payment terms and ACH banking information.
- Track document expiration dates and follow up with contractors to maintain compliance.
- Partner with dispatch and customer service teams to fill coverage gaps and support urgent sourcing needs.
- Prepare reports on contractor outreach, onboarding status, and network coverage.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a program in Business Administration or Construction.
- Strong phone presence with comfort making a high volume of outbound calls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn HVAC terminology and industry practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive tax and banking information.
- Must pass a criminal background check and maintain a good driving record.
