Radiology Student

About the role#

The Radiology Student performs diagnostic imaging procedures while enrolled in an accredited radiologic technology program. This position focuses on developing technical skills and clinical competency through supervised learning experiences across various imaging modalities while supporting the daily operations of the department.

What you'll do#

• Perform radiologic examinations under the direct supervision of a registered Radiologic Technologist, including positioning patients and selecting technical factors for high-quality images.
• Communicate with patients to provide instructions, ensure comfort, and promote understanding during procedures.
• Adhere to department protocols for radiation safety, infection control, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment.
• Document procedures in clinical systems, including labeling images and entering required exam data.
• Seek guidance from technologists and clinical instructors to enhance learning and ensure safe, competent performance.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• 0-1 years of clinical experience.
• Basic understanding of radiographic procedures, imaging equipment, and radiation safety principles.
• Ability to obtain BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to apply feedback in a clinical learning environment.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic health records.
