About the role#
This internship provides hands-on training within the Adult Outpatient Program. You will gain experience in psychiatric and substance abuse diagnostic evaluation and treatment, working alongside experienced staff to support clients through assessment, consultation, and various treatment modalities.
What you'll do#
- Participate in clinical mental health and substance abuse evaluation and treatment.
- Assist with assessment, individual, couples, group, and family treatment services.
- Support clients in developing independent living skills.
- Provide outreach treatment services.
- Conduct medication evaluation and monitoring.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s degree program in a mental health field.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Prior experience in mental health treatment is preferred but not required.

- Location: Willimantic, Connecticut.
- Schedule: 15-20 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: Unpaid (eligible for school credit).
