About the role#
Comcast Spectacor is hiring an Accounting Intern to join the Finance and Accounting team in Philadelphia. You will gain hands-on experience with core accounting functions and financial operations for properties like the Philadelphia Flyers and Xfinity Mobile Arena. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Handle daily accounting tasks such as data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and monthly or quarterly reports.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and research any discrepancies.
- Assist with budget tracking and variance analysis.
- Conduct basic financial research and compile reports for management.
- Ensure work complies with company policies and accounting standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- A detail-oriented and motivated approach to tasks.
