About the role#
This is a part-time, remote position focused on supporting students through the NASCLA/ICC Certified Contractor exam preparation program. You will provide expert guidance on topics such as construction law, project management, safety requirements, and building codes. The role involves leading online instruction, managing student inquiries through a ticketing system, and assisting with the development of instructional materials.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and teach webinar pre-licensing content.
- Lead exam preparation classes to help students pass the NASCLA Certified Licensing exams.
- Instruct course material according to established plans and design teaching strategies to meet course objectives.
- Evaluate student progress and achievement while mentoring students through performance issues.
- Engage with students via Zoom, conduct virtual office hours, and hold student orientation sessions.
- Assist with updating course content, scripting and filming instructional videos, and developing practice questions.
- Participate in faculty curriculum and ad-hoc meetings.
What you'll need#
- A current license as an NASCLA/ICC Certified Contractor.
- Prior experience teaching pre-license courses in construction-related trades or professional education is preferred.
- Academic background in Civil Engineering or Business Administration is relevant to the curriculum.
