About the role#
As a Product Design Intern, you will spend 12 weeks embedded on a product team. You will work on core products like the Coinbase app, Prime, and Coinbase Wallet. You will partner with researchers, designers, product managers, and engineers to turn ideas into user experiences that help people engage with the crypto economy.
What you'll do#
- Own a product design project from start to finish.
- Translate concepts into polished user experiences for mobile or web platforms.
- Define user needs and validate design directions with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Present your work in group critiques and incorporate feedback.
- Build high-fidelity prototypes in Figma.
- Collaborate with engineers to build and ship PRs using AI-assisted coding tools.
- Apply human-centered design methods and structured problem-solving to navigate complex challenges.
What you'll need#
- Experience using design tools like Figma or Cursor to create user flows, wireframes, or visual designs.
- A portfolio or project samples showing your work.
- At least one completed design project that demonstrates end-to-end thinking.
- Basic familiarity with cryptocurrency concepts and the role of Coinbase.
- Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight.
- Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design or Industrial Design.
