About the role#
This internship focuses on supporting market and product management for the LATAM region. You will work on projects related to shipping logistics, market analysis, and business planning. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Miami.
What you'll do#
- Analyze market trends, including volume, capacity, and pricing.
- Identify new target markets and benchmark against competitors.
- Evaluate product strategies and optimize shipping rotations to improve profitability and schedule reliability.
- Conduct risk assessments and profitability analysis.
- Support the development of product partnerships with regional shipping lines.
- Research macroeconomic variables that influence shipping demand.
- Create business plans and presentations for senior management.
What you'll need#
- An undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data analysis and financial acumen.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to build and analyze business cases to support proposals.
- Experience in the maritime industry is preferred.
- Candidates with 1-3 years of work experience, or those currently pursuing a Master's or MBA, are preferred.
