    About the role#

    This paid internship offers students and early-career organizers the chance to build skills in canvassing, fundraising, and community mobilization. You will work with experienced staff to protect clean water and advance corporate accountability policies. We provide full training in canvassing and campaign issues, so no prior experience is required.

    What you'll do#

    • Canvass door-to-door to talk with the public about environmental and social justice campaigns.
    • Recruit new members and mobilize supporters.
    • Raise funds to keep our grassroots advocacy work running.
    • Collect postcards, letters, and calls to lawmakers to support our policy goals.
    • Maintain accurate records of your work.
    • Contribute to a positive and motivated team environment.

    What you'll need#

    • An interest in nonprofit organizing, environmental advocacy, or public policy.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • A reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented approach.
    • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
    • You enjoy connecting with people and want to make real change.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota (on-site).
    • Terms: Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
    • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2 pm to 9:30 pm.
    • Hours: Options include part-time (3 to 4 days) or full-time (5 days).
    • Wage: $20 per hour, with $19 per hour during the first 10 days of training.
    • Benefits: 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending account, and paid time off.
    • Bonuses: Daily performance bonuses are available.
