About the role#
Clean Harbors is seeking a Receiving Technician Intern for our El Dorado, Arkansas incinerator. This full-time summer role focuses on hands-on experience within our environmental, energy, and industrial services operations. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support real projects and gain practical insight into our safety culture.
What you'll do#
- Prioritize health and safety by following all established work practices and policies.
- Learn to use personal protective equipment to sample waste in shipping containers.
- Track and label materials as required.
- Shadow staff chemists to learn about receiving, sampling, and waste analysis.
- Update standard operating procedure documentation.
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for chemistry, environmental sciences, or a relevant field.
- Strong interest in the environmental services industry.
- Ability to record, document, and analyze data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar technical tools.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well within a professional team.
- Advanced chemistry knowledge is a plus.
