About the role#
Clean Harbors is seeking an Operations Support Intern for our Summer 2027 program in Westlake, Louisiana. This full-time internship provides hands-on experience with the administrative and business operations that support our field teams, customers, and Industrial Services branches. You will work closely with District Administrators to learn how administrative teams keep branch operations running effectively.
What you'll do#
- Shadow District Administrators to learn administrative processes for branch and field operations.
- Provide administrative and project support to local branch teams.
- Assist with customer and branch questions, documentation, and administrative follow-up.
- Gain exposure to customer billing, purchase orders, invoicing, reporting, and other operational tasks.
- Help track and resolve administrative items.
- Support branch initiatives, customer projects, events, and process improvements.
- Organize information and reporting for operational and financial processes.
- Gain exposure to employee onboarding, training requirements, and internal systems.
- Participate in networking and professional development activities.
- Complete and present a final internship project.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Strong interest in learning about business operations and Industrial Services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with administrative teams, field employees, operations leaders, and customers.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfort learning new systems, processes, and business procedures.
- Willingness to travel to branch or field locations as needed.

- Location: Westlake, Louisiana.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May through August).
- Modality: On-site (not eligible for remote work).
- Compensation: $20 per hour.
