About the role#
Clean Harbors is seeking a Human Resources Intern for Summer 2027. This full-time, paid internship offers hands-on experience within our environmental, energy, and industrial services operations. You will work on-site alongside our Human Resources and Talent Acquisition teams to support real business priorities. Our program includes mentorship, networking events, and a final project presentation.
What you'll do#
- Prioritize health and safety by following all company guidelines and safe work practices.
- Support HR team members by providing guidance to managers on employee topics and organizational changes.
- Build relationships across the business by engaging with employees and learning day-to-day operations.
- Assist with employee engagement, performance management, and employee relations matters.
- Support Talent Acquisition by sourcing candidates and representing the company at recruiting events.
- Help analyze HR data and metrics using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and CRMs.
- Support training efforts related to company policies and employee development.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
- Strong interest in the environmental services industry.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant technical tools.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in either Deer Park, Texas, or Norwell, Massachusetts.
- The internship runs from May 2027 through August 2027.
- Compensation is $20 per hour.
