The City of Kitchener is seeking a Student Speed Advisory Assistant for the Summer 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position open to students in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration, or Urban Planning.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the analysis of traffic data and reports.
- Support the development of speed advisory recommendations.
- Communicate findings to team members and stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings and provide input on project planning.
- Help prepare presentations and reports for dissemination.
What you'll need#
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with traffic analysis tools is considered an asset.
