About the role#
The City of Kitchener is hiring a Student Labourer to support aquatic facility operations during the Summer 2026 season. This part-time, on-site position involves maintaining facility standards and supporting the aquatic team to ensure a safe environment for patrons.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the maintenance and general upkeep of aquatic facilities.
- Help supervise swimming activities and provide support to lifeguards on duty.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks to ensure facility cleanliness.
- Engage with patrons, answer inquiries, and provide general assistance.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant field of study, such as Kinesiology, Public Health, Real Estate, Psychology, or Communications.
- An enthusiastic approach to working in an aquatic environment.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Basic knowledge of water safety principles.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required.
