About the role#
The City of Kitchener is seeking a Student Labourer to support aquatic operations for the Summer 2026 term. This part-time, on-site position involves assisting with the daily maintenance and supervision of aquatic facilities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the maintenance and general cleaning of aquatic facilities to ensure they remain in good condition.
- Help supervise swimming activities and provide direct support to lifeguards.
- Engage with patrons to answer inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a relevant field of study such as Kinesiology, Public Health, Real Estate, Psychology, or Communications.
- An enthusiastic approach to working in an aquatic environment.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Basic knowledge of water safety protocols.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
