About the role#
Circle Logistics is offering a full-time summer internship for the 2027 season. This program provides hands-on experience in the freight transportation industry. You will rotate through four core departments to learn the full cycle of logistics operations. We look for high performers, as this program acts as a direct pathway to full-time roles after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through Track & Trace, Carrier Sales, Inside Sales, and Account Management departments.
- Learn the basics of freight movement and manage active shipments.
- Communicate with carriers and solve operational problems in real time.
- Build carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and understand margin strategy.
- Prospect new business, make outbound calls, and handle objections.
- Maintain customer relationships and identify opportunities to grow accounts.
- Participate in a bi-weekly Freight Forum to learn about the broader transportation industry.
What you'll need#
- A competitive mindset and strong verbal communication skills.
- Resilience and a coachable attitude.
- Comfort making calls and working toward specific goals.
- Preference for rising juniors and seniors, though sophomores will be considered.
- Ability to work on-site full-time from May 31 to July 30, 2027.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
- Available locations include Fort Wayne, Whiteland, and Brownsburg, Indiana; Naperville, Chicago, and Tinley Park, Illinois; Orlando, Florida; and Cincinnati and Toledo, Ohio.
- Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
