About the role#
Join the Liquid Spectrum (LQS) Applications team to build software and algorithms that help telecommunications network operators analyze, optimize, and plan optical networks. This internship provides hands-on experience in software development, data analysis, and optical networking technologies through collaboration with experienced engineers.
What you'll do#
- Develop and improve software applications and tools.
- Analyze large datasets to identify insights into optical network performance.
- Collaborate with engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of software solutions.
- Apply technologies used in optical networking.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in photonics and optical networking.
- Solid programming skills in Python and Javascript.
- Experience using git for version control.
- Proficiency working in a Linux/bash command-line environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Preferred experience includes frontend development with React, containerized development with Docker, distributed workloads, data engineering pipelines, PostgreSQL, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Teamcity.
