About the role#
As a Product Verification Engineer Intern, you will contribute to the quality, reliability, and performance of next-generation optical networking products. This role involves hands-on system validation and automation within an onsite lab environment, working directly with global service provider and content operator technologies.
What you'll do#
- Execute system-level tests to validate the performance, reliability, and functional behavior of networking products.
- Develop and maintain Python-based automation to improve test coverage, repeatability, and efficiency.
- Build and configure telecommunications network environments to support system testing and analysis.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to investigate product behavior.
- Analyze test results to identify defects and contribute to root-cause investigations.
- Document test outcomes and produce reports for engineering organizations.
- Collaborate with Product Verification teams across system, management, and northbound interface layers.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in networking, system testing, or test automation.
- Application of programming or scripting through coursework, projects, or industry exposure, specifically including Python.
- Experience executing test procedures with critical evaluation of results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborative technical environments.
- Attention to detail suited for quality-focused engineering environments.
- Exposure to test automation frameworks, Jupyter Notebooks, or basic network protocols is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with telecommunications networks, fiber-optic communications, MLOps concepts, or generative AI is a plus.

- Term: Summer 2026 (12-month duration).

- Employment type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour.
