About the role#
This is a full-time, paid co-op position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work with the Wood Gundy team, the full-service brokerage division of CIBC. This role provides an opportunity to learn the investment business by supporting Investment Advisors who manage accounts for high net worth clients.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative support to the Investment Advisor team.
- Maintain compliance standards for all client files and dealings.
- Conduct daily administrative activities and processes.
- Assist in the development of investment plans and written proposals.
- Support processes to direct assets into suitable financial products based on client profiles.
- Connect with clients to answer questions and resolve requests.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure client needs are met.
- Attend local events and participate in marketing and outreach activities to build relationships.
- Assist in problem solving for the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in post-secondary education with a plan to return to full-time studies.
- A degree or diploma in Business.
- The Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is an asset.
- Ability to work on-site full-time.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
Location & details#
- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia.
- Term duration: 4 months (January 2027 to April 2027).
- Salary range: $49,000 to $54,000 annualized.
