About the role#
The Finance Shared Services (FSS) internship at CHS Inc. provides exposure to various financial processes and our grain businesses. You will gain hands-on experience and mentorship from professionals while participating in an early career networking cohort.
What you'll do#
- Complete financial transactions including accounts payable, cash accounting, fixed asset accounting, grain settlements, invoicing, and lease accounting.
- Collaborate across teams and work directly with internal and external customers.
- Provide customer service by researching, resolving, or escalating inquiries.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and perform ad hoc analysis.
- Present key findings from your work to leaders and other early career associates in a capstone presentation.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Experience performing basic financial analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and research skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A driven, adaptable, and detail-oriented approach with a desire to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with SAP are beneficial.
- Previous work or internship experience in finance, accounting, or the agriculture industry is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.
- The position operates on a rolling term.
